Gensler’s Northwest Region is seeking an experienced interior designer for the Seattle location. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documents

• Provide design support for completion and execution of design projects

• Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents

• Participate in selection of FF&E color palettes & material presentations, and generate specifications

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years relevant interior design experience, including experience in corporate office interiors

• Experience using AutoCAD and Revit

• Knowledge of FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials

• Proficient in Creative Adobe Suite applications, Sketch up, and other software modeling programs

• Competent communication and relationship management skills

Course Duration and Matter

Training programs and courses range from two to four years in professional institutes, colleges or schools. Graduates of two or three year programs are even awarded a certificate as an interior designer or associate degrees. Those with a bachelor’s degree are of course eligible for formal apprenticeship programs in designing.
