POSITION SUMMARY
Revenue Operations & Strategic Services (ROSS) provides ad operations consultation and business services to Company’s digital brands. ROSS manages TWDC’s digital ad business by leveraging the proprietary ad serving and management system, and as a result is the primary user. The Release Program Manager is the primary agent within ROSS responsible for ad system product launch, support, and education to ROSS and Sales users within the specific area of focus (e.g. analytics, production, account management).
The Release Program Manager works as a liaison between the Ad Engineering team and the ROSS team. The Release Program Manager is an expert on the tools and processes within his/her specific area of focus. This role leads the introduction and change management of new ad system functionality to the ROSS team with the goal of full adoption. The Release Program Manager provides product support services and drives the content for training materials and documentation. As an expert in a specific area of focus, the Release Program Manager understands the tools and processes at a detailed level and is able to advise users on the most efficient, productive, and strategic uses of the tool set. The role also handles application level system administration and assists with industry compliance efforts for ROSS as assigned. Measurements of success in this role will be based on full adoption and relevant users understanding of system functionality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Product Launch – Develop and maintain ROSS launch project plan. Lead all aspects of ad system product launch implementation that affect the ROSS team, including user acceptance testing, status communication, training, etc. Launch efforts will require project management including but not limited to leading project meetings, driving action items, and issue identification.
• Product Support –triage, tracking, trouble-shooting, and documenting all Tier 2 ad systems related issues. Advocate within ROSS and Engineering for workaround or resolution of issues affecting primary area of responsibility via data collection and business impact analysis.
• Education – achieve expertise in area of focus, educate users on new and existing core system functionalities, advise users on how to obtain maximum value from tool set
• Business Requirements – gather, analyze, document, and communicate bug prioritization, feature requests details, and status
• Documentation – drive contents and validate detailed processes and training materials for releases. Review, comment and repurpose for training available Engineering documentation (functional spec, UI mock-ups, etc)
• System Administration – access management for application level and industry compliance efforts
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
The ideal candidate for the Release Program Manager position will have a business and/or technical degree; 2 to 5 years of experience in the Internet in a product development or business analyst role; experience with product support; experience with software training; experience working with and developing change management methodologies; experience with project management concepts and techniques; proficient in the use of online advertising management systems is a plus.
An ideal applicant for the Release Program Manager – Account Management position will also have work experience within the advertising industry and experience releasing or supporting software tools with a sales user base.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
Specific skills required for this position include: solid written and verbal communication skills; strong analytic and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; familiarity with internet based technologies that deliver content over the web and/or wireless; and intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Project and Excel. A candidate must have experience with Internet applications; experience working with and developing product development schedules a plus; HTML & JavaScript knowledge a plus; marketing and advertising knowledge a plus.
