Wow! What a terrific weekend. We participated in open studio weekend for our art community this past weekend. What a terrific program. We had lots of visitors, some from the photo community, many from the surrounding areas. Yesterday we did portraits for anyone coming into the studio and as a result, we've made some new friends. I will post later today some of the terrific people we photographed, not to mention the fabulous dogs.

One of the artist's I met has invited me to participate in a drawing class on Tuesday evening. I am planning to attend. What a great way to expand my creativity by working in another media.

Bambam

This year at WPPI in Las Vegas there was so much to see and so much to do. This year it had to be moved to MGM Grand since there were over 13,000 photographers in attendance from all over the world. Every year I meet more and more people and I can say this year it was so hard trying to meet up with everyone that I knew. I got swept off of my feet by the Kevin Kabota Action man...I'm really not quite sure of his title but it really made me laugh. There are some really awesome frames that I am getting in (one sample shown) and the coolest thing that I saw where these albums immersed in water. Then I can't forget how hard I laughed at Jim Garner and Bambi Cantrell's video about getting into shape for the awards ceremony. Jim is doing arm curls with the little dog.
